G310 by Q2/10

GTX 360/380 by Q1/10
GTX 395 by Q3/10 (2 chipset in one card)

hi,

does anyone know the release date of the new nvidia cards?

We will probably get unofficial leaks in the lead up to christmas, perhaps an official statement early January, end of jan to early Feb for official release and official benchmarks, with products available from March, perhas the end of Feb will see a trickle.

Thios also dpends on TSMC, if TSMC isn't sorted out then Nvidia may get screwed and be delayed further, perhaps a month or so.

People have been saying Q1 2010 but theres a few rumours about march for a launch, depending on how "paper" that lauch is you might get cards in march, early april.

Unless they do something crazy and actually get them out in Jan, but then we'll still be feeling the pinch from the supply problems and thats just going to mean another straight month or so of supply problems and high prices.

I can't see card prices leveling out until at least the start of feb.

Tbh from what I have read Nvidia arnt doing a soft launch (they have riped ati for theres) so I would say end jan early feb hard launch... which will be about the same time as the 58xx and 59xx hard launch

They did a soft launch of their Tesla part only a few days ago, after an intial preview/paper launch of it a day or two after AMD released the 5870 aswell, they did this for the GT240, and well, multiple other parts.

They do what they want when it suits them, when they do have a part ready for launch they harp on about paper launches being evil and ruining the world, despite 99% of products in most industrys in the world being "paper launches" , when they don't have a product ready they are more than happy to paper launch. I have no issue with that, a products ready when its ready, if you get told about it 100 years before, or 2 months after its available, it really doesn't matter in the slightest.

I'm also 100% sure Nvidia would have paper launched the Fermi in terms of graphics, if they were able to hit and knew what the final clockspeeds of A3 silicon was, they can't actually benchmark the current silicon because its too slow for gaming, if they could put numbers out today to prevent people buying ATi, they would.

As others said, Jan is simply not possible for anything but a paper launch, the new silicon will not tape out before early Jan, at best if it comes back good we won't see supply till 6 weeks later, thats just how the industry works, this has and always will be the same. If A3 silicon sucks, you get another 2 month delay, even without delay if the yields aren't high enough you won't see large quantities till April/May, with a realistic date for first cards in retail, even if its only 10 per country, of March.

The Nvidia Dx11 cards, are he Fermi generation and i have yet to know the official date at which they are released, if any 1 could post a source/link of the dates, please post...
