Hi all I keep getting the topic title. I got it while playing BF3 a couple of times also get it when playing the SWTOR beta. So not just one game.

I'm running the latest Drivers. SLI GTX 580.

Any suggestions to what is causing the problem?

both games are beta, have you tried running on a released game ?

try running it on a single 580gtx.

when you say latest drivers are they the bf3 beta ones ?

It did do it on the witcher 2 a while ago just one time.

yes the BF3 ones.

ill try on a single card.

just to add it did do it before i updated the drivers.

but not very often. I just used one graphic card. And it did the same after 20 mins just going to do the other one on its own.

did you try both cards in the same pci-e slot ?

if you did then yeah i reckon its a card problem, if not try them in the same pci-e slot and if it happens it could be a mobo problem.

this is what normally happened when you have overclocked too much or your cards are running too hot possibily, have you tried something like occt to check that your system is stable with their current clock speeds?

have not overclocked them :)

And yeah i have tried both in the same PCI-E slot

This _usually_ happens because something isn't stable somewhere, should check your RAM with memtest86, make sure nothing is overheating, PSU is upto the job, etc.

sounds like the one gfx card is having problems then.

download gpu-z and check the temps of the cards.

i can say when i pulled the first one out after it crashed again it felt bloody hot :P
So to me it is the card.

As the other one works fine doing the same things.

yeah got that already. I think it is the card. like i said did the same test on both one lasted 20mins max then died. the other one works no problem. Only got in june from here so contacted them about it :)

And to do a temp test is not needed as you can feel the diffrence it gets that hot lol.

But thanks for help.
