Have a 285GTX

Just recently when playing certain games, I will get the lovely error Kernel mode drive has stopped, recovering blah blah

Now I have tried the latest nvidia WQHL and beta drives but it makes no difference

PC Spec

E6400 @ stock
GTX 285OC2
4 Gb [4 x 1Gb]
2 raptor drives
1 1.5tb samsung drive
Corsair HX520
DVD burner

Running Windows 7 Pro x64

Anyone have any ideas on this?

I would under-clock the card to standard clock speeds using MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner just to rule out the OC, There seems to be a lot of OC'd cards running into trouble.

PC2 6400 Gigabyte DS3P

Well I have been running this card for months with no problem, this problem has only cropped up in the last week or so.

Its a BFG card

Try furmark should help to narrow down whats causing the problem.

I would start with Intel Burn Test - 20 passes - to make sure the rest of the system is stable
Then Memtest86+ to make sure the RAM is ok

If it passes those 2 ok then move onto testing with furmark.
