Hi guys.

I have the strangest issue ever. My Nvidia display drivers crashes 95% of the time when I press send on an email using Microsoft Outlook. It first started happening with the installation of the latest BETA drivers. So I used DDU to remove them and rolled back to the last drivers that were RC. They were fine before the BETA driver update.

Anyway the roll back hasn't changed anything, it is still occuring. It is really annoying!

Anybody experienced this, and worked out how to fix it?

does it crash on anything else? check for win 10 stealth updates that haven't installed which can and will cause chaos

is it full outlook or the outlook windows app?

I noticed some of the windows app use hardware acceleration and things like afterburner overlay use to show on them and make them crash.

There are issues with the last (few?) drivers when changing power states on certain GPU BIOS. Try applying Power - Maximum Performance in NVCP's Global Settings (reboot required) and see if that helps - it fixed it for me.

I have changed to that setting, lets see what happens :)

some reason both in 2013 and 2015 extra animation has been turned on and gpu acceleration; its in options you can turn this off and should help also

Thats probably the issue there isnt an Office 2015 so you have got a dodgy copy!

:D

Nope, I'm using office 365 annual subs. Technically it is Office 15 (not 2015)

But it seems that LegendaryDread's instructions worked for me, not had it crash since.
