There's only been one official xp set for the 8800gts 512 since it was released, absolute p-poor tbh.
what is crap about them?
Dead cert that, GX2 is out week after next, so they'll put some drivers up then.![]()
Thanks to LoadsaMoney I'm actually able to keep up to date with some better drivers, the officials suck bottom! I'm currently on 174.16 and they are a god send for Vista 64.
We shouldn't have to rely on betas, they often break something or are unstable. You dont fix what dont need fixed, You seem to forget you got a new Beta Driver with every new high profile Demo and Full Game not so long ago.
And to the part about sticking with ATI, they have worst drivers, been that way since Detonators through to Forcewares esp for OpenGL (talking aside the period Nvidia got lazy after 8800GTX launch).
ATI release a new official driver every month regardless.I seem to remember everyone moaning about ATI drivers (or lack of them) not so long ago, they released a new X2card so they have new drivers.
Once in a while ATI will leave new cards high-and-dry for a month with the ones on the CD, but not always though. The X2 has had drivers since January but didn't really get proper support until last month. Is that right ?, where was the Bioshock and every other Demo/Full game drivers from ATI that Nvidia pumped out repeatably not so long ag0.
I remember threads about the lack of ATI drivers.
Doesn't matter to me what you buy, was just correcting you about Catalyst drivers.Im happy for you but I wont be buying a ATI X2 or Nvidia X2 or even the 9800GTX as none are next Gen.![]()
None of the unofficial ones have been stable for me.
