Nvidia DSR

Then use AMD VSR. It's actually better than DSR because it allows you to run the whole desktop at the higher resolutions, rather than just the games.
doubt the radeon 270 will do a good job with it :p still trying to convince my brother to up it but he's waiting for the next set of cards to get HBM2 or whatnot. Still won't have the horsepower to power it until then I think

As the above was incorrect i just thought i would post some sarcasm, does not really work on here though.

Long live dsr.

Interesting, you could up-scale the Desktop when i had AMD, turn it on, right click Desktop > Display settings > and select a higher res.

Have they removed it?

No its still there for both amd and nvidia. Andy thought nvidia did not have it and said the amd version was better because of it. Turns out he was wrong, thats all.

Could be.

Out of interest, are there any differences when you go down in resolution compared to native at the same resolution? (not using DSR but using two different monitors), not sure why you would but i didn't expect the 1% difference in DSR. I personally would include 1% well within margins for error.

no idea but when i say 1% ish i mean 1-3% but could be error but native 4K im getting good 5fps+ more fps

I used to have a 1440p native monitor in which I tried DSR at 4k with my GTX 980 Ti..... and then I went to native 4K there is a huge difference and honestly DSR is all a hype (bad one)imo

Only thing DSR does it make things sharper no need to run AA
(good testing for high res) i would run DSR over AA however its not as efficient as native from testing
