Yep , if you install these though when it's complete make sure you reboot the computer. I've read that some needed to do that , no biggy

Saying 'Required files are missing' When i replace the .inf file with the modified one

My Forceware 260.89 driver would seem to random crash (the driver) when I game...would these drivers be suitable for my 9800GTX+, and how are these different from the 260.99 WHQL that seem to be the newest on the normal driver download page?

Just follow my last instructions if you are using windows 7 64 and they will work fine on your 9800GTX!. If there are any problems just revert back to the previous driver. Or wait till the official desktop drivers due any week now

Has anyone else noticed when using these drivers on a GeForce GTX 480, when you right click the desktop to bring up the windows 7 64 bit
desktop right click menu, your set monitor color profile unloads?

I have never had this problem using other drivers.

No however these are modifed drivers , but that doesn't mean the problem will be in the desktop officials. But these are the best drivers i've used for a VERY long time

tried them and they broke 3D completely, it went through the usual 3D setup process then switched to 3D vision discover halfway through and always started up using discover on every game, no matter what i tried. went back to 263.00

These drivers really are the dogs ******, been playing so many games since they first came out and never skipped a beat. It's so nice to have high quality mkv movies completely smooth and smooth gameplay.

Also nvidia tech guru just posted this on the nvidia forums

If you want to use a modded 265.90 driver, that should be ok. The upcoming driver won't be much different from that one.

So there you have it , the upcoming desktop drivers wont be much different to these modified ones . Oh and apart from a few issues just like here, most on guru3D highly rate this driver and have no problems!

The Quadro drivers are not that much older than the drivers which will be released so the performance people are seeing with the modified Quadro 265.90 drivers are what you will see with the official Geforce drivers. There were some optimizations that were made when tweaking Battlefield: Bad Company 2 that should improve performance of other CPU heavy games on older CPUs.

These drivers are very hit and miss for 460GTX owners, just a warning
