Nvidia G92

There's nowt that can touch a top end 8800 card at the moment so I wouldn't consider AMD/ATi at the moment. If I'm honest, I wouldn't touch a GX2 with a barge pole anyway, I'd wait until the next "True" GPU is released (i.e. not two current/ old GPU's bolted together.

My GTX goes like a stabbed rat anyway so there won't be any upgrades until something signoficant is released. :)

Stabbed rats go pretty badly don't they? :p

Have to wonder why they've got an aluminium shroud around it this time. Probably to make it less obvious its 2 seperate cards.

Shirley a G92 8800GTX would be an improvement on the current GTX going on the performance of the GT?

Firstly, don't call me Shirley :D (Or did you mean "Surely")

Yeah it will be quicker than one GTX (a GX2 G92) but, for heavens sake, I'm running CS Source, Far Cry, Doom 3, Quake 4 etc at 1680 X 1050, maxed out at well over 100FPS.

COD 4 runs sweet as a nut maxed out and I'm running Crysis on very high apart from 4 settings I run on high. Avg 29FPS.

By definition, an upgrade would add benefits in one way or another - The new GX2 will not benefit me in anyway cos my screen won't push it hard enough and my wife to be will surgically remove my testicles with a blunt spoon for blowing what will probably be £600 of our upcoming wedding fund :D

Unless you run a 52" + screen and want all the AF and AA turned up, buying one of these cards would be the equivalent of buying a 250MPH Ferrari when you live on an island thats only 1/4 a mile long with one road!! :D
