Nvidia Geforce 185.65 Drivers

Cheers for the headsup geezerButler... I'll get the 'official' drivers and try again... :-)

:-( got all excited but we're discussing 185.65 not 182.50...

Ok got Fraps to do a screen grab every 5 seconds... after looking at all the screenshots I realised Farcry 2 really isn't the best game to use for comparisons (it never runs 'exactly' the same... i.e. I've got a chicken in 1 screen shot, at exact same time on the second run not a chicken in sight..)
I noticed some shading around some bolders/rocks but seriously it's not worth a 30% drop... I'll try some more games later/tomorrow...

The best example of Ambient Occlusion was on this page http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-275-review-test/6

The Performance increase in the drivers is nice but I'm still waiting for a 'detonator' type improvement...

@mr griffin - yep CSs reminds me of my youth... :-) Half-Life 2 Episode 2 working ok, good old beta's...

I had the same rpobs with these as I had with all the other recent nvidia drivers releases, flashing ingame textures, sudden slowdowns, freezing momentarily, etc. Gone back to 18o.43 versh, allways runs well, no crashes, freezing, etc good minimum framerate too.

Thought it was just me when it came to the recent drivers. Anything above 181 and I've had problems. First off GTA performance went down the pan, even though they were supposed to improve things, so I've ignored the last release or two.

Just tried these and fired up The Last Remnant. I now have stuttering and slowdown where it was fine before, so I guess it's back to the 181's for me.
