Nvidia GeForce driver - 301.40 ( Beta )

Right so installed these a little earlier. (GTX470 OC).

Failed to install the first time, fine the second time around (clean installation).

Slight boost in heaven benchmark.

Had several rounds on Battlefield 3. No screen tearing this time around, adaptive vsync working fine. BF3 seems a little smoother, actually managed to up the settings a little whilst still aiming for 60fps. No stuttering.

Remember to change settings in nvidia inspector if you do a clean installation at is clears your profiles!

FYI, we didn't intend to release 301.40 today because of a showstopper bug, but clearly that section of the corp. didn't get the message.

As such, I recommend that you don't install them. A new version is in dev and will be released as soon as possible.

That bug will probably be why the only beta on the NV site is the .34 then, they must have pulled the .40

Personally I only use ones from the nvidia website.

Yeah working perfectly fine here too. Tried a few games/heaven etc and seems to be pretty good. BF3 for sure is better than the 301.24's for me. Will probably just stick with them tbh.

Same for me, all I have played is BF3 but runs silky smooth as previous drivers.

I've read that these drivers have issues with some DX9 titles. Mainly UE3 titles.

So I am going to give them a pass for now.

Might just be me, but there is less tearing now in starcraft 2 with a-vsync on compared to yesterday when I played

As soon as I read there's supposed to be a show stopper bug I reverted back to the 301.34s though I didn't have any issues with the 301.40s
