Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 Ti, thoughts, opinions?

Not sure where you get your info but to stop the OP from seeing such BS, here is someone who has tested loads of games for you to see :)

Thanks for the effort, as I already said neck and neck over the average, which lines up with what most other folks are seeing it would seem. I've got 1060 6GB kicking around here and the Mrs. has an RX480 in here little gaming system, so I could do a side-by-side but the games she plays it's hard work. KCD, Witcher 3, etc. I don't really play games, other than the odd blast on a an old title, or some Civ 6, so it seems like a lot of hard work to show what we already know. :)

The bottom line is there will be very little and no noticeable difference in games between them and even if there is a 1060 refresh (I would be surprised but have been surprised before), I doubt that will be much of an improvement. Price is the biggest blow really for PC users and the current pricing is mental.

Well this end of the market where the real value is for PC gamers, and with the £209 RX 580 with about £80-100 worth of games included it shows that. I think there's plenty of life let in PC gaming if you are not one of these people who buy the overpriced RTX Nvidia cards cementing the need for prices to increase in line with performance.

I think Nvidia have already decided that the 1060 refresh is not a refresh, just using up parts they have lots of, which is a shame really since it's going to be 2.5 years by the time they get around to it missing the Q4 seasonal sales, and pushing older stock on new users, and even worse new gamers :(

Agreed and loads of life in the PC gaming market. I do see a lot of folks saying "Prices makes me want to buy a console" etc but the top end isn't a given and for many years, I had entry level GPUs/Systems that played my games very nicely. Sure I couldn't have the dials up to 11 but they looked good enough for me. Maybe a 2060 G/RTX is coming sooner rather than later but what comes with it is anyones guess. I just hope price wise, it is sensible.

Why is this new youtuber's results, whome only has with 12k subs, suddenly seen as absolute. Anyone looking at that might think a 1700mhz Vega 64 is slower than a 1080 oc. April fools day is a while off yet.

Feel free to dismiss it if you don't like the results. Nasher did the same as he didn't like the games tested

I must admit, the lack of Minesweeper and Prince of Persia really made me think this guy is having a laugh, clearly getting paid by someone. :p

LOL :D

Will you please cut it out with those patronising rolley eye faces like we're deluded or something. It's a bs way to test cards and you know it.
Why on earth is it a BS way to test cards? He uses the same system with the same CPU but different GPUs. Not sure what you actually want? Ohhh wait, you want someone who has tons and tons of subs and shows AMD winning.

Ironic that you of all people point the fanboy finger so much. Leave it out will you. I'm not the one who has had, how many bans for such childish behaviour was it?

As for that test. Don't you think it could be a lot more thorough to at least test another resolution other than 1080p? Or not use "tonnes" of CPU limited games like Fortnite, Overwatch and CS GO.. Especially for the 1080 vs Vega.
580 and 1060 we all know are basically tied except in most new things were the 1060 is getting bashed about a bit but whats wrong with that? We don't have to dismiss it and call names because someone hinted at it. Not only that but the cards have their nuts clocked off it's just pointless here! Hell maybe we could get the 1080 up to 501fps

Sometimes I think I should just go buy the cards myself and do it properly.

I get banned for responding to stupid posts like this one. As for that test, I posted it as I felt it was recent and fair, 1080P is a very very common resolution, he tests loads of games and uses the same system but with 4 different GPUs. You tried to pull me up, as did that other fella but show nothing back but petty whinging about this and that in the tests. I don't have any of those cards but felt it a fair test to show that the 1060 isn't as bad as Nasher was making it out to be! You jumped in and whinged also, so show what is what or move along perhaps?

Edit: And the 8700K he is using is running at 5Ghz, so I would be very surprised if there is a bottleneck. I actually really like the way the guy has done the tests and will go and sub now.

Well said, as a Vega 64 and GTX1080 owner I can testify that his results are quite out of whack, not sure what he unintentionally/intentionally screwed up but yeah lol.
