i think it will be faster than 5870 but not too much faster. but i think it will give better min fps but not so much max and avg fps. to be honest i would care less as long as its reasonably priced.
 
love the card :) a 5970 will not fit in my case. Its about half inch to big. That card looks about an inch smaller so :D i can fit it in my case

Depends how many hours your PC is on and playing games for. A gaming PC is probably the most power hungry device in a modern home overall, when you consider how much it's used. We're on a crappy pre-paid electric meter here, and I could definitely tell the difference when I swapped a 4850 for a much more thirsty 4890. The end result is you end up feeling guilty and using it less, especially with the huge rises in electric prices over the last few years. Maybe you guys don't pay the electric bill though ;)
 
because otherwise your not running it @ full load, so should say "@ full load im only using Xwatts"

I find other games actually cause my pc to draw more power as well.
