I dunno. Calculate the inflation for the past 10 years and a 350 pound GPU might really turn into a 600 pound one.
You think that's strange, in 1988 when the Ferrari F40 was the fastest street car on the planet it cost £250k, yet five years later you could buy cars just as fast for £70k, it's almost as if something super high performing costs a massive premium
If 3DFX hadn't gone bankrupt the launch price of the Voodoo 5 6000 was (accounting for inflation) the same as Titans.

So tempted to get a 2nd EVGA GTX 780 Ti Superclock
Well it's just the norm, all depends if people want to splash the cash, people should stick to a budget, if the cards too much then don't buy simple as that, because at the end of the day it will lose around 50% of its value within 6 months.Nelly said:Look how much Nvidia robbed people with them £840 Titans only in February this year! now they are practically extinct lol.

Voodoo 5 5500 think it cost me around £250 - performed crap for a new card in EverQuest, would never of paid twice the price back then for the 6000.ubersonic said:

They didn't rob people, You forget Titan is a cheap compute solution as much as it is a gaming card

I checked this too and it's changed to the 27th December, gives me time to check over AMDs Mantle by then and compare any silly custom 780 ti prices.
Taken aback by the WindForce 3x OC being £620, up from £600 and doesn't bode well for the future as I want to stay with a fast single GPU solution. Will happily live within my budget GPU-wise.
That's not good at all as I'm returning my evga 780ti oc Acx Ver to that Bolton crowd. What does this mantle actually do?
In short it improves performance or graphics quality through using new Mantle API than using DirectX which is bottlenecked by the CPU. Although you can use Mantle on any GPU, AMD will be way ahead by then. Official blurb. An Indepth look.
