*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

LOL @ me. So pathetic and weak willed.
I bought a new rig just before the pre-order release date of the 30Series cards with the idea that I would get myself a shiny new 3080 and then hammer several weeks of hi-res VR and ray traced games. Then the no-card-mageddon occurred.
After convincing myself I was absolutely fine waiting, that I was completely Zen about it, that it was childish to be so antsy for a new card, I am now getting bored of waiting. I have a shiny new Occulus Rift S VR set and a bunch of games with either VR or Ray Tracing I want to try out. My current legacy GPU from my old rig is just not up for that. Now wondering if I should just get a 2080 Super ROG Strix OC and wait until the end of next year to get the ASUS ROG Strix 3080 OC. Am 150 in the queue for a ASUS ROG but the rate of ASUS supply suggests it will be about 5-6 weeks before I get the card.
My dilemma is that I just know that if I get a 2080 the 3080 will suddenly be available the next day. Argggggh (first world problems)

Exactly what happened to me, ordered a 2070 super as I figured I wouldn't get a 3080 for months, the day I got the 2070 delivered I managed to snag a 3080 founders and had it 2 days later..

Anyone used finance to purchase a 3080/90 and tried to cancel their order? Just wondering what the process is and if its the same as if you'd used a credit or debit card?

Hey, @ASUS GPU Support, you still out there? If so can we PLEASE have some info on the Asus cards and any ETAs if you have for them. I'm specifically waiting for a non-OC TUF, but it'd be nice to have a rundown of different models, as there's a lot of peeps waiting.

Eh, worth a try....

considering Asus mentioned they want to test extensively their cards before shipping out i'm not surprised there's a big waiting period..

First few weeks there were small shipments of TUF cards here and there and now silence again, due to testing I imagine.
Yeah that's a good point, but I'm hoping by the end of this week it'll have been enough time to produce a load and test them, meaning we might get an update... I'm hopeful but not confident :(

I completely understand mate, I bought a 2080TI yesterday

Hey, there's no big conspiracy, check my previous posts and you'll see why there was a just a little over weeks delay.
I told them that here 3 or 4 times Still dont understand what DELAYED by week gives cause math is hard :D

harmless fun, I hope the moderators don't get mad... :)

They don't fulfill them, no.. but this is where you still go to find an FE, initially.
They pass through to another page which appears to be made live specifically for this process then removed when the stock is gone. You can't search on the competitors site for it, afaik

Oh, didn't knew that!

There is a thing called distill web monitor or web alert, which will help. We will have more chance of getting from the competitor than OC since the waiting que number is 1000+
Luckily working from home so this is exactly how I snagged my FE. 5 minutes work using free software and grabbed it 1st time of asking.

Yeah I'm using distill too, really easy to setup but haven't had any useful notifications yet, although my queue position for my 3080 Strix OC was 218 the last time some shipped so... I'm not massively desperate like some of you guys at 800+

Today I almost got one, but my money haven't been allocated (I sort them in my bank account), so my payment was refused. People bought them out hehe
