NVIDIA GIMPING DRIVERS ALREADY?

Just read the links in my thread. People on Reddit did the testing. It looks to be mostly down to the new security patches with Win 1809.

Yea definitely explains why some people will think drivers after the patch have been gimped. If AMD cpu's are not effected or to a lesser degree then the gap in gaming will have been closed to a degree.

I know they dropped Pascals performance for the 2080/Ti reviews, as their Performance was put back up, in the following drivers after, and the October update wasn't out then, as this was back in Sept. :p

Yea that's the driver i was talking about. Most of the canned benchmarks seen a downturn in performance and that would make sense as that's what a lot of reviewers use for quickness. The in game tests seemed to not really be effected as much.

I'm not sure NV would bother to be honest and if it's provable someone could have them in court and their reputation would be on the line. Besides, they're too intelligent to risk that :P. Surely theyd just get custom gimped drivers to the reviewers anyway if they really wanted to mislead without being detected.
Sounds like a load of paranoia to me. One of the reviewers has also disproved it too. If you monitored it longer term I reckon you'd see minor fluctuations anyway. I'm sure the 20 series lost a few FPS in one of the recent drivers too, seem to remember something about that.
Same would go for AMD. I really don't think either company would try to mislead in this way.

Its not fake news.... if i use the new 4 series drivers my GPU wont boost anywhere near what i use with the 399.24 drivers. i loose around 175mhz which equates to 2k in superpostion 1080p medium. Aorus 1080ti at 52 degrees. They're trying to make the 2080 look better

But they say the performance loss is not true. For a video that's got over double the viewership then what that youtuber has as subscribers, nearly250K. I'm sure with over 3200 comments they've corrected the situation.
..Goes read some of the comments.
Oh wait...They're confirming it.

This again? It was proven that the Microsoft patch messed up things and NVidia sorted it in the latest driver but don't let that stop all the pitchfork brandishers

I’ve noticed an improvement with frame rates with the new 400 Series drivers with a 1080ti Amp Extreme @ 4K, nothing massive but it’s definitely improved!

Happens with every Geforce generation. Gimping in line with planned obsolescence. People complain, so they "fix it"...temporarily, then you'll see it starting to drop again.

You only have to look at the performance of past geforce cards vs their AMD equivalents to see it.

worry not hes posting stupid stuff with no actual benchmarks
Even youtube tech star linus made test for stupid people like that :D

Its like Why AMD's cards gain some power later on from drivers ?? Cause they start at crap performance. Its easy to go from poor to descent not so easy to go from good to great.
