Can I ask a stupid question...

Are these actually different from each other? Other than the box? I mean they look identical?? I thought the whole point of board partners was customs fans and overclocks? What on earth are these?

NVIDIA make them all, they are all identical.

Differences will be warranty support, supplied software, box design etc.

Hopefully the founders editions will sit well above the average price of the range just the 970 with the Titan cooler

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-205-ok.html

OcUK is making a fortune on those as were pretty much the only store worldwide with a NVIDIA reference 970, OcUK was first and last on that one as I designed it. :D

Reality was when I had a few thousand in stock we were selling them sub £300. :)

Typically a high-end custom card with more power phase, improved cooling cost more than a reference design card.

Another example being we was selling the 980Ti reference cards at £500, whereas KingPin cards were £750. Reference cards are typically never the most expensive.

If you had to guesstimate how much do you think the likes of Classifieds and Matrix' will come in at ?

Unknown as they will come later by which time exchange rates could have moved in our favour or even gone against us.

If they were available right now I would expect Matrix and Classified to be just as much if not more!

Flagship custom cards will cost more!
High-end custom cards will cost similar!
Low-end custom cards (cheap blowers), will cost less!

People should be able to realise this, it is pretty much common sense, just look at our 980Ti pricing and bear in mind we typically sold the reference 980Ti's for around £500, only at the end of their lifespan did we increase pricing as I took decision to stop ordering those.

Definitely interested in the Classified or Matrix.

Do you think it is unlikely that we will see a Kingpin Edition from EVGA.

I am confident these cards with additional power phase and hybrid coolers will overclock insane, the reference cards can do 2GHz plus, I'd be amazed if we did not see some Hybrid Classified cooled style cards close to 2.5GHz OC.

Time will tell. :)

This is ignoring the fact that we haven't before had a 100$ negative difference in the MSRP between the reference and custom models. Even for the 980Ti the "non extreme" custom cards like the MSI Gaming were only about £40-£50 if that more than the reference lowest price blowers.

The 900 series started at exactly the exchange rate at the time + 20% VAT.

Why is that different now? Well actually I know why, because Nvidia have zero competition...

Even if the case, my point still stands because a Classy, KingPin, Matrix are always more than $100 additional cost over a boggo reference card. :)

Still its just a matter of time, not exactly worth losing any sleep over. :)

Wow, what happened to the $ to £. to inflate these prices, i thought they were supposed to be $600 not $800.

Very surprised. Im definately out.

If your living in the US and buy a card from OcUK the card would cost the person in the US $725-$750 depending on the exchange rate the bank/cc company gave for the transaction.

So UK pricing is not far from US MSRP of $699 really.

Just like if you buy a card from the US online delivered to the UK, then customs will add import and VAT charges, plus delivery etc. and again the final amount will be similar or more, with no UK support.

Hi there

Also to clarify our FREE shipping offer voucher code also extends to both Saturday and Sunday delivery for UK mainland. :)

Gibbo why is the Asus 649.99?

Because it cost us more and on new product release I am unwilling to reduce my margin on a product that will simply sell out. My competitors might be willing to accept reduced margin, I am simply not willing to do so when I know they will sell out no doubt within hours if not minutes. I am forcing no one to buy and we have plenty of other brands at MSRP. :)

The cards are all the same, just different board partners charge different prices which is completely their decision and I do not blame them at all for trying to make some money.

If I had 20+ margin on these things I'd happily stick them all at £619.99, reality is it is hard to achieve 10+ at times and when we can we will for the short time we can.

End of the day I got plenty of Asus, EVGA, MSI, Zotac and other brands all sat in stock waiting to go.

Hi there

I missed a photo opportunity yesterday, but spotted another palette of stock at our goods in area today so grabbed a photo:

Then I might by accident grabbed myself a Zotac 1080 !!!! :D

In the flesh the cooler design is far nicer than in photos and just to 100% confirm for those who do not know it does have a backplate. :)

Any idea of delivery day if we pre-order on Friday?

Will we get it Sat or the following Tuesday?

We are offering FREE Shipping including Saturday and Sunday delivery for in stock cards.
