Nvidia GTX 780 6Gb cards

don't see OP asking about amd cards....

If you find that games run ok but it's the 3gb barrier your hitting then maybe try 1 x 6gb card, see how it runs then look to add a second later on down the line.

sli with a 6gb and 3gb isnt an option.

Across three screens in single card format a mildly overclocked 290 will match or exceed the performance of a mildly overclocked 780 in more than just those two games.

Performance aside however I find Surround to be better day to day for triple screen gaming / using the system normally than Eyefinity. The latest drivers are giving me all sorts of weird profile "bugs" which simply dont' have on Nvidia's side (they don't use profiles in the same manner).

Your much too sensible for this forum ;)

I listened to Almighty and Owen, they've used both. :)

I Read it that Oweneades said a 290 will match or exceed a 780 in more than those 2 games which i am sure it does, it costs less, true.

A 780 wins some games vs a 290x at some resolutions but you dont see anyone recommending a 780 over a 290x performance wise ( unless there biased )

Well I went ahead and got 2 of the KFA cards. Can't get them to work so far

With both cards in it won't post, just get a flashing hyphen in one corner of the monitor. With each one in on it's own it gets stuck for a few minutes with B2 in one corner and then boots up but I can't access the bios.

I've read my MB can be a bit fussy with 780s and might require a bios update, something I've never attempted before, plus apparently it makes overclocking sandybridge chips almost impossible :(

What I don't understand is it works fine with my MSI 780, boots straight away and can access bios

What was the spacing between those cards like? I have a GB P67 UD4 and looking to get 2 HOF's but concerned about the spacing.
