Can't decide between the Gigabyte 980 or wait for the EVGA 980? Any ideas who I should stick to. I hear EVGA have better customer support etc.

EVGA are offering an additional two year warranty on top of the three so five years if you register an 970/980 by the 31/12/2014.

So EVGA it is IMO.

Aren't these EVGA's supposed to be pretty noisy though in comparison to others? I think they look the best tbh. But I want quiet and cool operation without the red and black colour scheme of MSI.

I saw a news item while searching for any UK shop with the EVGA 970's in stock that said the noise issues with the EVGA cards could be down to the cooler being in the wrong spot so it only connects properly to 2 of the 3 copper heat pipes seemingly because they just used an older cards placement without checking the new ones.

Unlike the Asus or MSI versions etc. which cover all 3 of the copper pipes.

980's, usually evga don't make classy x70 cards, I think the last one was gtx570.
