It wasn't the engineers fault, they were given a very limited budget, a few employees spoke out about it before Bulldozer launched. They basically did the best they could with limited resources. Intel have deeper pockets and their own fabs, with the extra resources they get better results...
Tbh I don't understand why they didn't just shrink Phenom II '32nm' add some more cache and raise the clocks? That would have had more performance than Bulldozer, I guess with Bulldozer they can market what is really a 4 core as an 8 core though....
Good info, explains the need for 6+8 PCI-E power.

LOL if any1 can make card that uses that much power to create lightning im sure nvidia is up to the job.
as much as i love nvidia with all hype over keplar i think i would get so sick joy out of watching it flop. but im hope full it will be good card coz right now im between sli my 580 and waiting for keplar. ive had sli for years untill got 580 i cant live with poor fps rates its what makes me upgrade every time if i get hint of poor perfomance in a game wallet is open.

So it could mean just about anything from "Faster than a GTX 580" to "faster than GTX 580 SLI". You can't glean anything from info released through marketing channels.

Yea its one of my all time favourite hitler videos. Its worth a watch now and then just to remember the comedy gold that was the fermi launch.
