And while we're on the topic, why all the doom and gloom about ati? They had a delayed release....big deal, last i checked thats the way the industry works, not everything either ati, nvidia amd or intel produce is going to be jaw droppingly amazing.

Nvidia survived the fx fiasco, intel survived prescott and netburst, why can't ati survive past r600?

I agree, the R600 is perfectly fine, the FX series were complete and utter ****, beyond belief.
The r600 just had a bit of bad luck, being that the 8800s are so damn good, and they were delayed. Other than that they are great cards.
In a year or 2s time everyone will be slating nvidia again, ATI will probably take the crown when industry moves multi-gpu. Its the way of the industry, each takes the crown for a generation or 2, then the other surpasses them again.

The amount of people in here writing ATI off really makes me wonder if many of you actually used to own PCs 3 years ago or so. ATI are still making massive amounts of money off x1950 pros and chipsets, which funny enough will massively trump any profit they would have hoped to make on enthusiast cards.
