You need to grow a brain cell or 2 m8 :p, I just explained the 2 differences here above

1) They aint Modded Crap.

2) They add PhyX to G80.

I would not install either if you really think Nvidia will release a PhyX package today (5th), it was not an official statement just rumours.

I'm too tired, off to sleep on settee.

Oh come on. Why do you think you're so high and mighty over loadsa as the link you found with Physx support is still leaked?. Very contradictory in fact and makes your debate petty.

With Loadsa he is providing links to drivers, you don't have to download them but can at your own will. What is wrong with that?. Just exactly like you are doing now?.

Least this beta/leaked Driver actually gives them PhyX on a G80 and it aint a modded POS like ones you seem to love linking to.

I never post Beta crap but this at least brings the G80 users something to the table.

:o

Chill out :) peace.

Well I am loving the physx so far and pity it took so long to get here.

But now it is here I hope game makers make use of it.

People haven't gotten Cellfactor to work yet. Hopefully NV will release an official driver by the end of today.

Have you tried copying the new phx dll files into and over the DLL files in the Cellfactor folder if there are any. Didn't some people need to do something along those lines to get UT to work.

Tried it with the 177.79 drivers on my G80 GTS, the option is enabled but testing the demos yields no performance increase over software PhysX. Same goes for Warmonger. I wouldn't necessarily take my word for it as at the moment my system's running with 512MB of RAM, my new motherboard didn't like my old 2GB kit and some new is on the way. :o

Still, I would've expected FRAPS to tell me the demos at least were running faster with it enabled, but nope. My theory is that this is a load. Why? These PhysX drivers coincide with the release of the 9500 GT, and are mostly there to add official support for that card, which tbh can barely run 3D by itself let alone with physics calculations.

Will it do anything to COD4? May be a dumb question but its the only game I play and I'm about ready to jump **** and give Ati some love.

Never was officially any date from Nvidia, only rumours from sites.

Here is my results, CPU at 3.6GHZ and GPU at stock (ain't gamed in weeks so everything slowed down).

WITHOUT PhysX.

WITH PhysX :

Notice CPU Test #2, and notice my GPU score did not go down it is actually up, and FPS are near as hell the same, well within the small difference they can get in any run. :)

Nvidia’s product PR manager for Northern Europe, Ben Berraondo, told Custom PC that ‘on 5 August a PhysX pack goes out, which enables PhysX for all GeForce 8 and 9 series GPUs, and also the GTX 280 and 260.’ The pack not only includes a WHQL PhysX driver, but also features various PhysX demos.

Other places said something along the lines of "getting off the phone with NV, they say on the 5 August a Physx pack will be released".

I read the same on a few sites. :)

The above tests were done with the Official Beta from Nvidia site, it ain't a Modded/leaked buggy one.

And the PhysX driver is the latest "Leaked" one, it will either work or not work, unlike a driver.

I have had the last 3 installed and they obv did not work as I have a G80 (You can but try).

It does work (somewhat), cause i tried it on and off in Warmonger. However the websites said that it would support previous Physx games like Cellfactor and release new ones to try.
