Nvidia powering Valve's Steam Box prototypes

Looking forward to giving the pad a try but in the real world its not going to beat a keyboard and mouse, if it helps the steambox and sofa gaming though I'm all for it.

I couldn't agree more but for casual gaming and not FPS games, I could work with that. I love GTA and use a keyboard and mouse when caught in fire fights and use my xbox controller for driving :D
 
That's the thing though the 360 controller in my eyes is already perfect. So this owl pad has to be really special and work wonders to make me change.

Has it been stated if you can use any pads on the steambox?

Not seen anything but I am sure there will be some clever chap who will write a program and allow you to assign buttons.
