I can't get Nvidia purevideo to work, I've installed it onto a 6150 IGP, when I play a MPG or DVD nothing shows up in tasbar. I have Power DVD 7 installed, also FFDSHOW. Is purevideo lower in priority or something? Should I uninstall Power DVD?

Yup, Purevideo is tick marked as preferred video codec. Still can't see any icon to adjust purevideo. I have Nvidia settings in taskbar but that's standard gfx card settings.

The only way I have seen PureVideo kick in is either playing dvds with windows media player or the nvidia media center program which I found by accident. I didn't change anything because it just began working by itself in wmp after installation, and I have a lot of other dvd programs installed (power dvd, win dvd etc.)

ok the icon has now appeared. AC-3 DVD-Videos in Media Player is sending AC-3 to my av pre-amp. But when I play it with Media Centre I get no audio. It used to work, my guess is was using Power DVD mpeg decoder/audio features. M-Audio is set to Digital, FFDSHOW Audio set to SPDIF for AC-3 & DTS, and Nvidia purevideo decoder to SPDIF. bah looks like Purevideo is totally useless. Just used the microsoft tool to set powerdvd mpeg decoder as standard codec, and audio out via spdif works fine.
