Nvidia PWNing all and sundry

Just jesting fella. Gavin is vehemently anti AMD but on the INTEL side of things. He can't stand AdoredTV and Jim from Adored due to his INTEL loyalties. It was a bit tongue in cheek for you and Nvidia. Again just jesting :)

No problem. :p

For what it's worth, I wasn't having a dig at nVidia, I was just asking where the $400 million dollars nVidia made from crypto came from, as even nVidia say it's hard to quantify how much came from that market.

Just seems like someone slapped a random figure on it for whatever reason.

It will be fairly vague at best based on units sold per customer, I'd wager.

Well done nvidia. Now AMD produce a card that would be a worthy upgrade to my dual 980ti’s and I might be a purchaser. Vega meh, 1080ti meh.

I switched from 980ti sli to a singe 1080ti and was quiet happy, no micro stutter no second card not being used as SLI/CF/Multi GPU is pretty much dead now

Not sure why many on here have already consigned AMD to the graphics graveyard in the sky just yet. I mean, due to having no where near the R&D funds of Nvidia they have brought out Vega as an architecture that needs to cover both gaming and compute...a jack of all trades master of none kinda scenario if you will. I get why AMD have had to do this, but they are far from dead.....and if they can come back from the brink of a CPU disaster then I dont get why people are writing them off on ever bringing out another great gaming card in the future. I agree that Nvidia are riding the crest of a wave right now and no-one is disputing that fact. But to dismiss AMD ever coming back to High-End Graphics is simply naive.

Both Nvidia and AMDs graphics cards are way too expensive for their performance at the moment.... Anyone who disagrees is insane. I'm not saying that even with these prices you are not getting a better price/performance from Nvidia right now, of course you are. But those prices are unheard of no matter what side of the fence you lean toward.

Some great reviews coming in from the Ryzen APUs at the moment. Some impressive performance coming in from those Vega 11 chips that will appeal to those with tight budgets or just wanting to get a toe in the PC gaming door.
Can you imagine what would happen if the Ryzen 2 APUs can get near 580/1060 performance when they appear. If AMD can go for the midrange performance with those Zen2 APUs then that would be such a clever way of hitting the market where the most money is made.

I would put my bet on that is the way AMD are going to go....while letting Nvidia take the high-end completely and preparing the next graphics architecture for a stab at the top.

Just saying dont write them off just yet.....although it may take a few years to get it right at the high-end. :)
