NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Anyone saw Asus advert which has this;

Be an #ROGEliteRewards member, and you'll have a chance to win access to purchase a GeForce RTX 5090 or 5080!

they have a raffle where you win a chance at BUYING a card LOL.

@asus, your company is whack.
lolz Zotac is doing the same thing, they are offering "real gamers" not scalpers the chance of buying a Zotac card thru some social media site, i think you have to have a zotac account with past 5 year registrations or somthing like that, worlds gone mad, before it was chance to win for free now its chance to buy paying full RRP

******** joke

Looks like someone has canceled since news broke of 5070ti with missing ROPs as I have moved up a place in my queue. Can't wait till it ships so I can stop refreshing every day.

Side note if any of these missing ROPs cards have made it into pre-builds or people that don't check tech news or run benchmarks. It could be years till they are all found or even never.

Wow, So how will that work then with warranty with OCUK.?
Wasn't purchased through OCUK rather another big retailer but he has done OK out of it tbh... given a £600+ refund and told to keep the card and send it back to MSI who have said they will take it back... thing is Steve from GN is fishing about for cards and he can sell it to him for full price plus $500 :cry: @cliffy

Hmm something is telling me that maybeeee, ocuk might not be that generous..As I noticed there wasnt one 5000 card even sold with free shipping considering the pricing madness..

Anything rare, even if broken, is apparently worth more money

I'm pretty damn certain ocuk won't be offering no £600+ partial refund with the option of keeping the card , that's basically the profit they earn selling 2 5090 :cry: ocuk will ofcourse help you with warranty replacement if needed though, from experience you would be put to the front of any queue for a replacement if they didn't have stock :)

Well lets hope it dont affect too many uk buyers as it hard saving for "or paying it off VISA CARD" a 5000 series card let alone having to return it tbh...

still tempted. Going to have a curry and watch teh football and think about it.

I would say that it is unlikly that any of the 5000 series UK cards have missing ROP`s but its always safe to check...
Seems very slim at chance but you never know
Wonder if you brought 1 used on eBay out of warranty in a few years, not knowing it had missing ROPs, if the manufacturers would cover it.

Another drop out the queue :cry:

With everything that's going wrong with this launch, people really should be dropping out of the queues. More specifically, people with a position of 28th or better in the queue for the Palit Gamerock 5090 should absolutely, definitely be dropping out.

There's a competitor store that has had a lot of stock in during the last couple of weeks and selling cards at silly prices - I've seen two of posts from people who have bought cards from there that have missing rops. Also with that store even though they seem to have a lot of stock, delivery times are actually 5 weeks.

Incidentally if anyone has a missing rops card, Gamers Nexus will buy it from you and pay $500 extra
