Surely that's not allowed under some retailer practices law somewhere?
Nope, retail fraud. SFO and taxman would come calling.
But I'm pretty sure that's not what's happening here. There's simply a lot of pent up demand with FOMO spastics.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Does anybody remember any mainstream electronics retailers jacking up the prices just because theres a supply shortage? I dont remember it happening when there was a shortage of series x’s. It just absolute scumbag behaviour, no better than actual scalpers.
Zotac did have card, in USA a lot of themWut… I’m still 41![]()

Their price is higher than others. For a custom 5090 gaming pc it was £800 more for the exact same. It's disgusting, live dynamic pricing to squeeze every penny out of us.
I took a screenshot of one of the 5080s on OCUK and the price changed both before and after I created the post, literally within seconds.
It's new to me, I never paid much attention to previous GPU launches, so I've been paticularly cheesed off with it. We can't discuss competitors but there's no way I would shop at any store that's been scalping cards, including OCUK. Not even for a USB cable, they can **** right off![]()
Fairy nuff, I guess. We are in communication with Nvidia and board partners regarding ROPS on 50 series cards. Any affected cards already received by customers can be returned for an exchange. We are working with all parties to ensure that returned cards have a separate queue to minimise delay. New shipments are being checked by our partners before they are shipped to REDACTED.
He might bite...haha

They’re acting very unprofessional!

There are other “salesmen” that aren’tThey're acting exactly like what they are...salesmen.
I'm really happy with it. An overclock has got me as near as dammit to stock 4090 performance, I'm on Ultrawide so the VRAM isn't such a concern and the fans are quiet, especially with the power use around 300w. I've been loving the path tracing in Indiana Jones.Lol how has your 5080 been? I'm thinking of cancelling too.. I'm 50/50 atm![]()
It would be a nice round 20 minus the person who cancelled above but I've been queue number 4 since the beginning and it still says I am 4th on live tracking with the date 2025-05-30. Would be strange if the live order tracking doesn't update for everyone at the same time. They also didn't mention any Zotacs dropping in their update today but maybe they got them after the 5:30pm update. Would be strange if 20 people cancelled all at once on one day too though. Guess I have the smallest glimmer of hope tomorrow then.Update: My pre-order queue for the el cheapo ZOTAC 5090 SOLID went down from 366 to 345 (with another supplier that shall not be named).
