NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Getting to that point isn't it? I've seen two drops now of my model and they've had none. Makes me think that the conspiracy theory about them not paying higher prices at the distributors may be true... all the while sitting on probably a couple of mil creaming interest. I went with them as they were the only place taking pre-orders that I could see for the Aorus Master and when I grabbed my 9800X3D from them, everything went great and it was delivered pretty quickly.

Sort of stuck though. I need a new GPU and never going to grab the one I want via a normal drop on a diff website. Which I guess is probably the point.............

We remain patient at position 15 in the queue :(

Still 6th in the queue for a Zotac 5080 solid. At this point I think I’ll take a 9070xt if I can get one and give this NVIDIA generation a wide berth. NVIDIA just can’t be bothered supporting the gaming market as this isn’t where the money is at.

You waiting on the WB?

All this talk of artificial scarcity etc has to end somewhere. Right now I'm making as much money from Nvidia on gaming GPU sales.
Not that I agree with it but I understand the logic of it but surely they still need some stock somewhere if they want to make any money.
Also saw hardware unboxed say that if the 9070xt sells out then AMD have sold more than the entire 50 series including 5070.

There has to be stock at some point. What was a shortage surely transitions to either manipulation or sheer incompetence. How many other tech launches go on for months with little to no stock.

If you want a fun conspiracy theory (and no, I don't really believe it), this is probably what it would look like if Nvidia's management were arguing with legal over whether they needed a recall. :)

To be fair if it really is only 0.5% with missing ROPs then it would be cheaper to just wait for the consumer to return them rather than recall all 99.5% that aren't effected.
Now the melting cables. We haven't had a FE drop in a while have we. Hmmm...

Just seen a very large online store drop ASUS TUF OC for £3099, got it in my basket saw the price and bailed. At this rate i will just drop the gfx settings and go with a 9070XT for no reason other then i am peed off with Nvidia

One other possibility - slightly less mad than my conspiracy theory above - is that the supply remains so poor because the number of cards affected by the ROPs issue is significantly higher than 0.5%. Now the defect is known, Nvidia's legal likely will have told them they can't go on selling cards known to potentially be affected, so is it possible significant chunks of supply are having to be hauled back for testing? I think the ROPs thing broke after the "stupidly high stock in March" report, right?

Notifications for that particular card at that particular price from that particular store have been making my phone ping like crazy since the middle of last week.

Tired of waiting - Issues with the cards.
The launch excitement has passed for me now and starting to lose interest.
But the main problem is severe lack of movement on the queues.
Same really.. if I can snag a RX 9070 XT near MSRP before the end of the month.. and it performs relatively well compared to the 7900XTX in raster.. then I'll probably keep it and cancel the 5090 pre-order.

Mine only started tonight, shocking price. Not quite sure what way to go right now
