I suspect you are correct. If you don't mind £2500-3000 being locked away for 3 months, I think pre-ordering is the way forward. Unless you get a kick from using various apps, websites and discord channels for notifications that are £200-300 more than the launch pre-order prices.

Sadly, yes. It’s already ‘too expensive’ for me to justify spending any more to get it sooner.

… with that said, these MSI Air Suprim 5090s are pure unobtanium. Everyone will cancel their orders and go for other brands at this rate.

Yea.... You've been waiting too bloody long. I've seen several MSI Suprim Liquid SOC drops at £2,650 but nothing for the air model. I hope you get it soon!
 
I don’t understand how some variants of the 5080/5090 from the same manufacturer are shipped in multiple shipments while other variants have still not had a single shipment.
Surely MSI, Zotac etc should be manufacturing all variants of their cards?

Yeah even at that price I think I’d still rather have the simplicity of the air… having recently moved away from a CPU AIO to a tower cooler and much preferring it (less cables, less software, neater and honestly… quieter).

But I haven’t been around to catch these drops anyway… so it’s not like I would have been able to exercise the choice.

Only by chance I was on the website when they had maybe 5 available, I know it’s not the best brand but it should do the job.

That's what I'm waiting to arrive from the queue place. If you can let me know how noise and temps are, that would be fantastic.
Its currently 3 days late and they can't tell me how long I have to wait, despite me dropping from 40 to 21 in the queue with over half of them being cancelled.
Currently considering looking at a 9070xt if I hear nothing by the weekend from them

Not sure if we have enough numbers to create an *** Official 5070ti thread *** but we'll see.

Looking forward to seeing some 3d mark benches :)
