NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

If its anything like previous generations you have to order the FE in the UK via the nVidia webshop. Irrespective of any redirections for fulfilment this is the route. It is my understanding you wont be able to directly purchase an FE without going via nVidia.

I wonder if we’re entering a new generation of by the time it’s in stock the next one is nearly released. On a side note: the 5080 should be 4k 60fps proof for 5 years?

Yes probably with upscaling, though it should also do alright with mfg on higher refresh rate 4k pannels. They might do a 30 series and destroy the 5080 with the 6080 on the new node. I imagine a 24gb 5080 ti would be the play here

It's literally out today and STILL no prices!!! I've never known a product not have a price on release day before.
I'm after a 5080 but have a hard limit of £1200 plus add how few cards there are rumoured to be around this is going to turn into a mad panic.
It's not a small amount of money, we should have been given time to look at prices and decide what we can afford, instead it's going to be a mad rush to find one at a good price and grab it before anyone else!

Prices go live at 2pm
Set your PC time to Australian Western Standard time (+8 hours) and you can see the hidden prices ;)

I get that OCUK has put up fake prices to make certain people know when the actual launch has occurred.

What I don't understand is why they can't make for example a separate post somewhere explaining exactly how much each card will cost.

Obviously they aren't going to just make it up on the spot at launch, they know how much they are going to charge, so keeping this information hidden seems anti-consumer.

Id imagine they're obliged to not reveal prices by an NDA or similar agreement?

The prices aren't there for a reason wh3n they go live they will be up in £££ .
That's really stupid. I can't think of another time I've not known how much something will cost hours before launch.
I feel it's a marketing gimmick to create maximum FOMO when we reliese just how much more expensive they are, panick and just buy them anyway when if we'd had time to think we may have thought twice.
