NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Oh my, Nvidia and AMD, to a lesser extent, have done a wonderful job over time to normalise such pricing. Whether the acceptance is reluctant or not.

Seriously, not wishing to be as dismissive as it could read to your purchase, enjoy your amazing card.

It is just frustrating, understatement, that some technology parts are costing what they are these days. Seemingly, so far, less likely to significantly reduce in price, stock or not.
Oh I’m fully aware how absolutely ****ed up the pricing of these are, I remember buying a Radeon 9700 pro back in the day for what felt like a fortune, but now it’s crazy. But your also hemmed into a corner depending what tier of card/performance you want.

This system should last a good few years now so this will be the last major upgrade hopefully.

I agree, just looked at the full cost of my setup (based on what I paid new) and my 5090 is now 49% of the entire PC cost, and 37% of the entire cost including peripherals, monitors, etc.

As much as I'm liking the performance so far, I feel stupid for spending so much on it lol.
Just avoid getting into sim racing/flight sim and you'll be safe from the never ending money pit.

Well I’ve had 5090FE cash burning a hole in my pocket since launch day.

However, my new build order will go in immediately following the 9950X3D launch and if I’ve not managed to snag a 5090FE by the time it turns up I may just keep my 4090FE and get my son a 9070XT instead.

Your loss Nvidia, because you can’t provide stock.

Sell it all !!! Sell it NOW !!!!!
