NVIDIA Rumored To Release Pascal Refresh With GDDR5X and Faster Clocks – Volta To Feature HBM2 and G

NVIDIA Pascal Refresh “GeForce 20” Series Speculation – GeForce GTX 2080 Ti, GTX 2080 and Titan Black V2

Total garbage lol.

2080 Ti we have not even seen a 1080 Ti yet.:D

I would also be very surprised if anyone knows what NVidia will call their future cards yet.

Top draw clickbait.:D

I will make some predictions about the next round of NVidia Pascal cards that will be more based in fact but are not good for a website using clickbait -

1. Future Pascal cards will be poor at DX12

2. The coolers on the top SKUs (Titan and Ti) will be poor again.

3. Overclocking will still be hitting a wall but at about 2150mhz this time.

4. The cards will be grossly overpriced.

I will add to it

1. The refresh will be another $50 list price
2. The voltage limit will be slightly upped to enable a faster overclock, perhaps 2.2 to 2.3

Refresh lineups pretty much always come with better price for performance.

It's not a new architecture, so it'll be the same as current Pascal cards.

What a strange comment.

Better doesnt still mean its not grossly overpriced though :P

Especially if exchange rate moves another 10 or 20%

Nvidia could set retail price to be 10% less than current pascal cards and offer 10% more performance but for us they still might be 10% more expensive.

Whatever the price, you'll all be buying anyway for the extra bit of performance :D

No, not for a 10% performance gain from a refresh. 2018 and the next full blown Titan or TI is the next logical upgrade.......unless AMD pull of a miracle and surprise us all.

You have forgotten the poor quality components that have been used in the last 2 generations

Is that a fact or based on the PCB looking a bit 'arry cheapy ? :)

I might do but only as using a 730 GT at the moment. If a refreshed TX came out in time for Chrimbo I'd probably pick one up, but that's unlikely. And as long as the price same as current TX

They will still be grossly overpriced and just like the 11 Pascal cards I already own they will be poor at DX12. Brute power hides a lot of shortcomings.

For that reason I can't see the arrival of the next gen being any later than mid 2017 as by then they probably need to be on top of DX12

I am sure if they do a refresh, it won't be just a higher clock. I expect something along the line of 680 to 780 style performance gains.

Brute force gets you through a lot.

Look at the lead the high end Pascal cards have over AMD. Okay they may take a 20% to 30% hit in some dx12 games but they still end being faster than the competition.

A refreshed pascal range will see them through to proper dx12 cards in 2018.
