Nvidia Shield - Best handheld?

How much does HL2 cost on the shield, I'd be interested if other source based games were available like L4D or Portal 2, maybe even CS :D.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for shield 2.

I think Nvidia touted the shield more as a PC accompaniment rather than a dedicated games console. With mobiles and tablets, I think the market for portable games consoles has gone.

You're right, the 360 experience is a much better one.

They're not same, due to one being a portable console, the other not. I can play at home on the big screen over HDMI, then take it to work and continue on in my lunch break. So no, the 360 isn't the better experience - it's limited in comparison.

San Andreas on Vita? Don't think so, one of the many reasons why my iPad gets used more than the Vita. Devs can push out great looking games on iOS/Android, but fail so miserably at dedicated consoles

Because it sells more on those platforms unfortunately :(.

Unlucky bro, I take my Wii U into work all the time :p

I was just responding to be able to play the GTA games that's all. Was not comparing it to a 360.

I just dont see the point in this device.

*wrist slap*

I'm really tempted by one of these, been watching a few reviews on youtube. I would like to see more source based games on there first though. Would be amazing if they had TF2 or CS:S, doubt that'll ever happen :). I'd even be happy with Half Life 1 :).

It has impressive hardware but if I had to buy a handheld it would have to be Nintendo, they have the best software library.

I would prefer hooking up my PS3 controller to a powerful 10" tablet tbh. I currently (wirelessly) do this for my Nexus 7 (1st gen) and have a little stand for it (with built in keyboard), and can play the later games like San Andreas, Ravensword II, Dead Trigger II with it. It works well on the train or in bed but it isn't bus stopable. And it requires root access for the wireless controller usage.
