Nvidia tech demo's from Montreal

Flame works looks absolutely fantastic-stunning really.

Gsync(my first comment on it btw), could shape up to be a fantastic piece of kit for low range gpus 4K and surround, don't think it will do much for the likes of 6/770 upwards on a normal single screen though.

The crescendo is high on this one despite it only being seen on a demo I must say, I remember Nvidias adaptive vysnc was hailed as another game changer and loads switch it off.

NV told Caramac(if anyone paid attention) it's undecided yet if it's closed or open btw, so there is a slim chance it's available to all.

Star Citizen, looks like it's taking the **** with AMD/Nvidia-TressFX/Mantle Physics effects for the red team???/PhysX all in the one game-it's going to bring rigs to their knees I imagine.

that is pretty much Chris' intent yes... he says he personally has a GTX690 right now and that is the level he's aiming at maxing it out at 1080p

obviously the final release won't be for well over a year yet

it will also have occulus rift support at launch

no mantle support mentioned yet though, as it's not clear if Cryengine will be adding it, and if they do if SC is too far along to switch to that version of the engine (CR's team are doing a lot of customisation to Cryengine)

Hold up. Star Citizen supports TressFX and Physx?

yes, Star Citizen is using tress fx (for planetside / fps parts), and physx turbulence, cloth, particles etc.

Good to see both will be working on the same title. Would be nice if other games decided to follow this path. I bet this is the only game we'll see such a thing though.

It's nice but still not fair on the AMD guys, nvidia users can use all the effects as TressFX isn't locked down. I can't imagine what performance will be like with everything enabled though

Yes that's why it would be nice to see Nvidia give some leeway maybe on this. Either with Physx or Gsync. At the moment i think id prefer Gsync please Nvidia. :D

I think I remember Greg saying a while back he predicted in a few years you would need two different systems to enjoy all games in full effect.

It's not far off looking that way now :(
