It really isn't funny, and not for the triviality you mention.It's truly a shame to see a crown jewel of intellectual property, from a true British global leader, to be so easily plucked by a multinational.
Although the way things are heading "Global Britain" feels more like a global firesale.

It is funny because of the ignorance of a man who in his position ought to know better.
I have to say to you this though. Having worked in the UK electronics industry I watched it almost completely disappear under the horrible BLiar year. Names like Plessey Ferranti, Marconi, GEC, ICL, Inmos, Racal, all either ceased to be or became shadows of what they once were. The pound is now at a low level, partly because of the mishandling of the covid outbreak, and that makes UK companies cheap. It also means the wages bill is cheaper incomparison to that of the USA so the probability is that nVidia will keep things just as they are for the foreseeable future.
