Nvidia "unlaunch" 4060ti 12GB erm 4080 12GB....

More like unbuckle, they'll be smacking their customer's arses with the same chip again in a few months' time when it's launched at the same or similar pricing but titled as a 4070.

They also need to reprice the 4080 16gb.

The 4090 is barely more expensive and 2x the power almost.

Who in their right mind would choose the 4080?

This gen is really weird. 4090 aside everything else makes no sense.

Steve says AMD has done the same thing before, which GPU was that m?

He always does this, no matter who has done what it's always AMD do or have done this too, its automatic with him, sometimes he cited what or when, sometimes he doesn't because its just part of his mindset to make sure to keep reminding you that AMD are basically Nvidia / Intel under another name.

You can bet when it comes back, it'll still be massively overpriced compared to last gen and still not a great deal.

Behind the scenes I expect that Nvidia, instead of being humbled, are actually annoyed that they never got away with this and will try again.

The kinda will have when they come back and call it a 70 class card when really it's a 4060ti, and people accept it. Then that's moved the 4060ti into 70 class price bracket. Then they can gimp the 70 class card with lower specs than the old now 70 class card and call that the 4060ti - when actually it's a gimped 4060ti...

It's pure manipulation and up-tiering of pricing...

It's blatantly right in front of people's eyes if they choose to see it.

The 80 Gimped edition they just "unlaunched" is now more than double the price 3060ti...but it's still just the 4060ti...

Its the oldest and most used tool in the manipulation box of tricks.

Make something really really really bad, then people are happy when its later made just really really bad.

Steve Burke has already fallen for it by prempting his happy place as a 4070Ti, which is really hardly any change at all from 4080 12GB.

Yep, but even the 4080 16GB is a huge cutdown from the 4090. The whole stack they released is crazy to me and Nvidia deserve all the complaints they get.

I bet there was almost 0 demand for them from bestbuy etc and none of the youtuber twits seem to be shilling them as something other than a scam branding
