On laptop shutdown I'm getting the following notification;

"Closing 1 app and shutting down
To go back and save your work, click cancel and finish what you need to.

NvGamesStreamWindowsMessageHandler_0000133C_00002C50
This app is preventing shutdown."

Any suggestions what it is or how to stop it?

Thanks.

the NVGamesStreamWindowMessageHandler is what nvidia uses on its gpus for streaming to shield devices, if you don't have one of these then you can stop it easily.

open a " run " window with win key + R and type " services.msc " in there search for Nvidia streamer service. Double click on it and press stop on the window that opens, then you can disable it to stop it starting all together.

I hope this helps :). also thanks again for all the help / answers surrounding the aorus :).

I've already tried that and the service is not running:

Interesting, it's not disabled, it's missing entirely.

Do you have a shield tab on geforce experience?

EDIT : Might be worth doing a fresh gpu driver install? As something seems off.

Nope, and will give that a bash. Cheers.

Edit: Removed driver with DDU and re-installed. All sorted now, thanks @harry5522
