Well says same on nvidia website so I guess nvidia are wrong too? Lol gimme a break. Like all these cards being advertising supporting dx12 I guess they are not being marketed as dx12 cards then?

I also remember myself saying at the time that the 290Xs were better @2160p.
I know that and never said they was 4k cards in my opinion they are 1080p cards but they have been marketed as 4k cards by nvidia just as much as the fury will be and with 4gb of HBM it will be more a 1080p card than 4k. My posts only relate to a previous post regarding 970 being a 1080p card and fury being a 4k card. Fact of the matter is of fury comes out with 4gb at first no one will be buying them for solely 4k only. Simple....

No reviewer ever recommended it as a 4K card either. I'm not trying to correct you.

Reviewers are not the ones marketing them... They review them hence the name reviewers... I said marketed. If it says supports 4k or 4k ready then people assume they are 4k capable cards just like it says dx12 support or in case of nvidia full dx12 support. These are being marketed as dx12 cards and this is what nvidia said not reviewers so who is wrong here Mr know it all lol.
So on nvidia's website it says Acer get onsite-warranty, what are you on about ? I wasnt talking about nvidia but OCUK. Why did you get confused.
Their claim was that the 970/980 had advanced HW memory compression that made their 224GB/s bandwidth an effective 300GB/s, and would let them hold up to 5GB in VRAM.

IIRC it wasn't anything to do with storage it was about reducing the amount of data being sent over the memory bus which would alleviate memory bottlenecks, considering their 256bit bus Maxwell cards hold up well compared to AMD's expensive 512bit bus there must be something in it.
that was how i was thinking it worked and how i understood it tbh.
