Came across the 950 pro nmve ssd and thought it'd be a nice upgrade for the price, realised i'd need the asus m2 adapter card but then noticed on the mobo spec that i'd need a Haswell not Sandy chip (which aren't exactly readily available nor cheap anymore) in order to run at pcie3 speeds. £300 on a 3770k really doesn't seem worth it and i do love my 2700k.
How would the 950 fair on pcie2 speeds vs my vertex 4? Also how does the lane speed work whether it pcie 2 or 3 with having my 7970? Will sharing hamper it anyway?
One further thing is booting from pcie ssd compatible with all mobos as i've found nothing on my extreme 4 regarding it?
