NVMe and Z87??

Hi im new here and in need of some serious help!!
i purchased a Intel 600p NVMe SSD and an asus hyper m.2 x4 mini card and i have an MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming board, i have installed windows onto the SSD but i cannot get my board to see it or boot to it, when i boot to my original SSD i can see the intel 600p in disk management so i know it is working, is my board not compatible with these new NVMe SSDs, if so how do i get my BIOS to see it?

You are installing W10 right?

Try updating BIOS, though most likely Z97/x99 is needed to boot off it.

Motherboards need to support NVMe and I don't think a motherboard that old supports it. Check the change log for your BIOS / UEFI to see if they added NVMe support. I doubt they will have though. You'll need a motherboard to support NVMe if your current one doesn't.

YES i am installing the latest copy of windows 10.
my bios is fully updated
