Looking around a bit.. there seems to be a decent spate of deals in the 2TB range (anything but top of the range looks to be into £100), just starting into 4.

With the dram developments (think it was WD had doubled the capacity on a single chip), is there a chance we're back on the edge of a stock purge/price plunge on "older" drives?

Not something I've followed recently as much as I used to. Anyone a little more on the pulse with it?

I managed to get a Samsung 990 pro 2tb for £103 a few weeks ago so there are definitely some good deals popping up lately.

Still waiting for 4TB's to drop a bit, £150ish (dram-less QLC level crap, just for bulk storage) is likely the bite point :D
Cheapest i noticed is
Kingston nv2 for £179
Not too far off from 150ish

Just been looking at 4tb drives and an external m2 40Gbs enclosure
Best price for a half decent m2 I found
£217 for lexar nm790 4tb
And £70 for enclosure still makes it pretty painful
On the wallet

Iv noticed some offers come and go on 2tb drives. Still no 4tb for 150 quid like it was before.
Hopefully this black Friday there be some offers on
Fingers crossed there will be some decent 2TB Samsung 990 Pro offers around. Then I can finally get rid of my spinning rust to what I view as reliable drives.
