NXE Official thread

I was just getting issues with trying to steam the trailer for that Keanu Reeves upcoming film. It was just 'Buffering' constantly Realplayer old school style.

Know I am in the minority but not impressed at all.

HD install is not much quicker than DVD & still just as noisy if not more so as the Delta fans seem to be spinning up even more now. Avatars are not of any interest to me and the new blades are ok but nothing special.

Think this is the end of my 360 experience now.

mine is quieter than my ps3 :/

I'm not having much luck since the release of NXE.

I have a BenQ G2400W 24" 16:10 monitor and a pro 360 using a cheap HDMI cable. I used the headphone socket on the monitor to grab the sound signal to feed a pair of turtle beach X1s.

When updating to NXE, on the second reboot, I lost all audio!

Audio was fine before NXE.

I've resorted to buying the official Microsoft HDMI cable with the included audio adapter, now using the phonos on that.

Sound is now fine but video isn't!

When setting the Xbox to 1920x1080 in system settings, the dashboard is noticably running at a lower framerate. The problem isn't just limited to the dashboard either, Cod5 slows down to ~30fps.

In fact, all game's framerate has dropped. I've tried reverting back to my old HDMI cable, no difference. What's really strange is the 'flickering' borders, inherent when running 1080p through the G2400W, are now solid black. I suspect the xbox is outputting something other that 1080p@60Hz, however, the monitor's OSD reports 1920x1080@60hz.

In an attempt to rule out a faulty monitor/Xbox, I've tried a friends un-updated xbox on the monitor, set to 1080p, working fine, nice and smooth. Updated his xbox to NXE, applied 1920x1080, slow again... Arghh!

Anyone else experiencing this with their monitor/TV?

Have had no problems with either of my 360's and NXE.

One running on monitor via vga at 1680x1050, and the other connected to 37" tele at 720p.

Thought the 'install game to hard disk' would fix my copy of Bully from crashing, but it hasn't. 2x 360's do this and no other game crashes on them like this.

Anyone here got Bully that crashes (or hasn't)?

Isn't that known for sucking on the 360 though? I'm pretty sure I read a while back that the game is pretty notorious for crashing.

I heard that too but it should have been fixed I am getting this after 20/30 mins of gameplay which IMO is unacceptable. I don't even think the game has auto-save!!

i like the update overall, the only thing thats slow is the friends list (avatar one, not the old style one).

takes ages for all the avatars to appear, i've started removing people got it down from 90 to 50 but it still takes awhile...

I now need a 120gb HD, i might just buy an elite rather than just the drive as my old premium is pretty loud, lol

I've not had any problems with the upgrade, it's very slick and I'm well impressed. :)

Im very impressed too , thought it would be gimicky and childish but I really like it.
Friendslist is a bit slow and I only have about 10!!
Installed it last night without any problems but when I turned on the box this morning I had two red lights.

Switched off for 5 minutes and restarted and it ran fine.
