NZXT 42 single 140mm enough?

Well the single rad AIO might be able to cool it at default speed but when you overclock that monster of a CPU, you are looking at something like 360mm rad space or more. A friend of my has this cpu delided & overclocked 4.5Ghz and a custom loop with (IIRC) 2x 480mm Rad in push and pull config at 20 degrees ambient, temp hovers around 82 degrees during load.
This cpu also can pull positive degrees during load when overclocked with LN2.

Ok I see now. thanks will probably get a 3 rad on the top then .

It's an absolute energy monster and ultimately, while smaller rad space may work, you really want to build a loop to keep temperatures lower than on air. If you're ending up with 80+ on water, it's defeating the object of that extra risk, money and work.
