Hi,

Looking for people that have this case and have installed a GPU larger than 2 slots

Anyone have any success stories? Looks like my GPU will fit in terms of length and I have seen a couple of builds on the internet with large 1080 Tis fitted but wouldnt mind some more evidence that GPUs larger than 2 slots do actually fit

Thanks

Hi! I've recently been choosing a new mini case for my kit and really all of them had some restriction or other!! This case would have been perfect, but the only thing is it is quite bad for GPU cooling especially for cards greater than dual-slot. From memory it take a card that is 51mm thick (which mine is) but it causes heat problems. I'm not 100% as I looked at so many, but I'm 99% sure that's why I couldn't use one (otherwise I'd of loved it!!).

Ended up going for the In-Win 301c instead, a touch bigger (but not by much) and much better all-round cooling for gfx). Cost me £77 delivered, not yet arrived.

If it gives you problems then you can always take a dremel to the psu shroud, which is what I considered doing.

Thanks for this, its only slightly taller and actually quite a bit less wide, wont fit my CPU cooler though, 5mm off :(

Cant seem to see a C version, just 301

Which cooler you using man, D15? I've lower my fan a little in order to hit the 160mm height, should be ok. I'll let you know if it fits (coming Monday).

I have a 240mm be!quiet Silent Loop as backup just in case.

Its a U12 SE, just had a Chromax cover delivered, makes it 163mm

Could remove it and it would then fit but makes the cooler look so much better

yeah if could post back that would awesome, I'm in no rush

This is a D15 w/Chromax cover and fits;

Hard to believe the U12 won't...

edit - It's also a good shot of how much clearance room a large gfx card will have.

Yeah that's what inspired me to buy it is that exact build, the cooler will fit that case but not the 301

That evga 1080 is a two slot card

Really like the nzxt case though so I'll stick looking at one of those just need to know if my GPU will definitely fit

Right, thought we were still talking about the H200i. And the gap is just to give you an idea on what clearance you'll have, I know the eVGA is dual-slot. What gfx card do you have?

I have a Saphire Fury Nitro at the minute, looking at the pic more I really cant see it fitting, the fans will be scraping the bottom of the case, might have to wait until I can get a new GPU which will ages off as Vega is still ridiculously over priced

Yeah I'm tempted, I think I'm going to wait though and see what the next lot of AM4 ITX boards are like otherwise its over £200 just to side grade, hopefully by then Vega will have dropped and I can get a two slot GPU too.

Thanks for your help.

Makes no difference as it’s a small case to what your looking for, but as a prospect from my coolermaster elite 110 has space for a dual slot card and 2 3.5 drives next to it which I reckon would be a possibility to fit a wider card in placement of hard drives.

Thanks for the info but only supports GPU up to 210mm in length, mine is 310mm

yeah i figured as much, it was more of a idea for the width to show that it possibly can be done, unfortunately the thermaltake V1 and similar versions take longer cards like yours, just doesnt appear to have the width like the elite 110? wouldnt one of those raven cases suit your need?

Yeah its frustrating, my current card might fit the Raven RVZ03 but I would need a new PSU and CPU cooler and I would kind of miss having a window. I'm hoping the Vegra refresh rumours are true so the 56 drops in price and I'll revisit this then, I might just have to go without a PC for a bit

think problem solved.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £100.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

I'm basically looking for a 3 slot ITX case and they dont exist, every 2 slot is a gamble because case manufacturers never list the WxDxH of the GPU space

They don't, i looked *hard* lol. i had to go upto mATX as you know, but it's a small one so I can forgive it! Hell, even my PSU is 5mm too long but I gather it'll fit (fully modular).
