Hi,

At the moment i am using just the standard fans that came with this case.

Which came with:

2x 120mm

and

1x 140mm

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-094-NX

This is the case ^^^^.

I'm looking to replace all the fans with better, quiet fans as well as adding one to side of the hardrives.

Would i see temperature drops doing this or is there no point.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are the stock fans too loud?

Corsair AF140's are lovely fans, I have 3 at the moment buy am getting 2 more soon. Very good airflow/noise ratio and look sweet.

You could possibly get AF 140's and use the stock fans on the floor/hard drive cages?

What is your budget?

They are only too loud if i up the fan control to the 2nd and 3rd setting.

For some reason, at the second setting the fans also make a buzzing sounder which is somewhat strange.

I don't really have a budget as even the most expensive fans appear cheap.

So im thinking:

Corsair AF140 x2 for the top of the case.

Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition x3, 1 for the front, 1 for the back, 1 for the hardrives.

Temperatures are not really a problem. MY CPU is using an artic cooler 13 and barely gets warm. My GFX on the other hand (7970 vapor x) can get quite warm so i would like to be slightly cooler.

A bottom fan would certainly help the graphics card temps. Sound's like a good plan for the airflow, but be weary of the cost of this many Corsair fans. :D Whatever you do don't put one in the side panel, would ruin it. :D

The hard drive fan could be a 140mm. This means you can get a twin pack of AF120, and 3 AF 140's. :p

Bare in mind though that hard drive cages do ruin the airflow slightly, I recommend putting a bottom case fan in if you want lower GPU temps (bottom fan looks messy though). If you can afford to remove the hard drive cage, it could improve airflow by quite a bit.

Thank you for the advice again.

I was thinking, eventually i intend to go to watercooling. Maybe i should just take the plunge now instead?
