o&o defrag problem

I have two drives and it defrags one just fine but with the one that the OS is on there is a problem.
It defrags it but then when I re-analyse the disk it reports it as just the same as it was before the defrag?
So I defragged twice using complete/name both times and when I re-analyse it it reports the same analysis it gave before the defrags ie it stills needs defragging?
Very weird!

That's 3 passes and it is still doing it, I have just installed Perfectdisk cos I am sick of this.

Could be locked files by your OS that is preventing them being defragged.

But after the defrag it shows the defragmented drive and then after analysing it again it shows it as it was before?

Anyway Perfectdisk just did it with no problems so...
