o2 12Month Contracts?

It was £23 odd with Quidco iirc.

Just a quick question, one of you will know.
I'm already with O2 but I'm going to get my current number ported to this plan. When theyre porting the number over (takes 2 days) is your current number that your switching over become unuseable?

I am with o2, and if I put 15quid on I get 300 free texts and 120free weekend/offpeak mins, and I still have 15quid credit, which I get for 13.50 as I have a tesco staff card:p

To me, contracts are for people who cant afford the phone in the first place, or at least in all my friends case it is.
The demographics for PAYG and postpay customers would beg to differ with that analysis I expect! I doubt you get many executives saying "I'll have to call you back mate, I need to pop down the newsagent for a top up card". :D

That, plus the fact that PAYG is totally uneconomical if the people you call are on all 5 networks, not just O2.

Interesting way of justifying using PAYG...

Im torn up as to whether to go with oranges £10/month top up with 150 mins 300 texts or 02's 200 mins 400 texts for £15/month. already on 02 so it would be less hassle and i wouldnt need a new phone.

We shall see what orange have to offer quidco wise.

if you only need 120 weekend calls then thats fine. I use 45 min a day on my phone.

its not about not being able to afford a phone, it works out exactlty the same in the end. with a contract you are basically taking out a loan to pay for the phone, but you also get a million times better deal in terms of mins/text/web.

another 100 texts and 50 mins is worth more than 5 quid so definatly go with o2. if i were you i would just go the whole hog and get the 20 / month deal with unlimited web as well as 600 mins and 1000 texts.

If i was going £20/month i would may as well be getting a contract and a nice new phone. The only reason i liked these top up monthly is that i can get my free mins/texts, use them and then use the £15 credit at the end of it. which would suit me fine.

Im already on o2 so i think ill use up my credit for this month and order one.

The advantage of going with this deal is that it's only a 30 day contract. Thats why its so pleasing me me and many other people. That, aswel as it being bundeld with a superb deal.
