O2 24 month Contract

Got a 3GS back in the day on a 35pm contract for 24 Months, this contract is due to end in November, tbh 35Pm is too much and I dont use most of the minutes/ Texts, mostly Data now and have just bought the phones I have wanted to upgrade too.

Im staying with O2 (moving to a Simplicity rolling contract I think is best), do I HAVE to wait till the November end date, or can I do it sooner?

Also, if NOT staying with O2, just what is the best 3G coverage for NI?
 
Not sure about coverage but if you're staying with O2, its worth ringing they up to ask about changing the plan for a simplicity contract.

Since theres not long left they might be willing to do this for you. Otherwise you can reduce the contract each month by £5 i believe to start bringing it down
 
Should have added before someone shouts at me I was trying to ring first thing this morning but they where busy and am stuck in work now pondering this lol.

Guess Ill just wait till I have a day off again, just in case their was a no way out on the contract.

You can change your contract after 9 months. I did that and went from the £45 to £30 a month contract because I wasn't using the minutes. I don't think you can drop onto simplicity early before you out of contract though.
 
Your right, managed to phone earlier, you can only change to simplicity one month before the end of yoru contract, and he said the only thing he could do would be to drop me to a £30 contract, he also told me about how my data was unlimited currently, and that if I changed it I would be on a 500MB a month.

The 02 3g coverage in Derry or Belfast has been very good, the problem is, when you get outside the
Cities, traveling anywere in the north the 3g for me is dreadful. Im either on H or E nothing inbetween.

I feel my own contract is too expensive for what i use,
600mins, unlim txts, 500mb data,

Dont even use half the mins or data, and paying £35+7.50 insurance on 02 for my desire.

This is a good thing, it means they upgraded all their 3G cells to HSDPA where they could / wanted to. There probably isn't anything in between.
 
You may have to wait untill then, although they may alow you to make changes a month prior to the end date, I remember my upgrade being in january and them prepared to let me upgrade in december.
 
Hmm just been told they are closing my department down today so will try and ask for some kinda mercy lol, dont think itll happen tho.
