o2 and dg834gt problem

Can any who is using this combination help me with my problem?

Router appears to be working fine but if I play games online for a period of time when i come out of the game websites dont work, wont load, like not connected to the net. Though i can still be in the game, playing online or chatting to friends via steam even though websites will not load. Have to turn the router off and back on again which is kinda annoying.

Ive tried the latest netgear firmware and the latest dgteam firmware, both give the same problem :(

I would use the standard o2 router but i cant host games in L4D with that, when i host i connect to the server then get disconnect after about 15 seconds which is annoying! Tried using the preset settings for Steam games and recreating my own for L4D to no avial :(

So does anyone have a fix for either of my 2 problems ?
 
From what I have read up on recently, there appears to be a lot of problems with using the DG834G & GT routers on the O2 network. O2 apparently changed something with the broadband a little while back and from there on a lot of users are reporting problems with using the G & GT routers with simular stories to what you have just said and apparently it is down to the chipset in the routers. Upgrading to the latest router version i.e. the DG834G v4 is the only fix (not sure what the latest version of the DG834GT is).

Don't use the latest firmware, it's got awful DHCP issues. I'm using 1.02.14 on O2 and everything works fine. Not sure what the hardware version of my router is but it used to be a Sky one and I flashed it.
