My dad set up my account when I was 16, I paid him the monthly contract fee's.

When I was 18 I took over the direct debits and I changed the name online to my name (same surname obviously)

Anyway, about 10 months ago I took out a contract for my GF on the same account and all was well.

I have noticed recently that I am now referred to as Miss Nick *****, instead of Mr.

I called them up earlier and asked to change it to Mr as I cannot do it online and they questioned who set up the account. I explained the above about my Dad and she said that I am not allowed to change the name on the account and she must now change it back to my dads name.

I questioned this, asking why they let you change your first name and last name online if it "isn't allowed" and she didn't have an answer. She said she would just leave it for now but warned me not to changed it again.

So now I am stuck as being a Miss. I mean WTF? Why can they not change it to Mr?

I'd say ring again, speak to someone else. I've often got completely different answers from ringing the same customer service departments.

You can be a man again!

Yeah I might do.

I have to ring again anyway as they did a sim swap earlier, I gave the lady my number, except she has ported my GF's number on to the new sim

simply dont pay the bill if it comes addressed to miss because it's not addressed to you :)

MW

Which would have exactly the same effect as if he didn't pay the bill if it had 'Mr' on it, he would get cut off and be chased for the money.

Just because the DD comes out of your account doesnt make it your contract. Therefore the first one IS still your dads contract. Dont know about the mrs nick thing though, do you sound like a girl on the phone ? (joke, maybe!)

Like me and the misses it comes out of joint account but tey are both in my names and so she cant phone up about "her" phone

exactly..

on monday i rang for an upgrade to take place tomorrow (as i had to wait til then) and they offered me £15/m for a £25/m tariff and a free e51.

yesterday i decided i no longer wanted that and i'd rather have the n81, so i rang and asked for the change, and the guy said that would cost £200 on top! according to the website, it would have been better to get a new contract out!

anyway, so i rang back today.. asked the same as yesterday and got offered it for free :)

so now i have a free n81 coming soon with a £25/m tariff cut down to £15/m :)
