o2 broadband, free sim count as an o2 customer?

How do. Just been to my dads to sort out his ADSL. Looking at swapping to o2 but I see you get a better price as an o2 customer, is there any reason I can't get a free payg sim and use that to show he's an o2 customer?

AFAIK PAYG customers do qualify for the customer discount scheme so long as they have topped up by £10 for that month, there should be some details knocking about on the site, no idea if they have to have paid for the sim or not mind

it's fine using a free sim. you just have to topup £10 every 3 months.

they send you texts which you then have to enter on the website to continue qualifying for the discounts.
